About Us- I Owe It All To God

Crafting has always been a passion of mine since I was little. I can remember going through the garage and finding random pieces of wood and nails and trying to make something from them. Crafting with my mom was also a time that I looked forward to, every chance we got. As I got older, the more intricate my crafting's became, but I knew there was something more that I wanted to do with crafting then just it be a hobby, there was a bigger picture to put together. Back in 2017, a few months after my husband and I had gotten married, I had the opportunity to go on a mission's trip to Trinidad and Tobago. I had never been on a mission's trip, let alone out of the country before, but I felt God calling me to do it. I met some of the most amazing people and children on that trip, and it made me start to wonder, I know I won't be able to physically go on Mission's all the time, but I want to help as much as I can. I know God gave me a passion and talent for crafting, "but how can I use your gift God to glorify you?" So, I created The Blue Iris Clay Company. The meaning of the Blue Iris flower is Faith, Hope and Love, God's faith, God's hope and God's love. I owe everything I have to God, it's all his, so I want to glorify him in every part of my life, especially my business. That's why our goal is to have a portion of sales go to help those either on mission' s trips or needing funds raised to go on mission' s trips.
1 Corinthians 10:31, we are to do all things to the glory of God. When we admire nature's beauty, we praise God for His beauty being displayed. When we suffer, we rely on the Lord’s strength, and trust that even in the heartache His discipline grants us more of His glory.
